Elisabeth, That last paragraph of yours hit so close to home for me.. it's as if you reached and pulled the words from my soul. I think the same thing about our Bio-mom. In our case she chose a man over her beautiful girls. My kids are the first things I think of when I awaken each day and the last thing I think (and pray for) every night. I can't imagine not being able to see my babies each and every day. It would tear me ti pieces.
I loved what you wrote "I'm the proud mom of one and step mom to three but if anyone asks, they are mine. And YES I mean that. I don't say it because it's nice to say. I say it because MY boys are MY boys." That is so wonderful to read. I have 6 boys and 2 daughters and I'm a widow remarried. I would like to think that in time that he will think of our children as his:-) http://www.familyis.org/blogs/2-husbandhunterdad/16-raising-kids-you-actually-like.html And I working on letting him be the Dad. Looking forward to more on this blog.
